On June 3rd, a specialized training seminar was conducted for staff members of OSY (Road Transport Organisation) on the topic of human trafficking, as part of the European project PROCAP.
The training was implemented in collaboration with KMOP and EKKA (National Centre for Social Solidarity), which is the competent authority for managing the National Referral Mechanism for the protection of victims of trafficking in Greece.
A total of 21 professionals from various departments participated in the training, including Human Resources, Training, Drivers, Technology and Infrastructure Specialists, and Driver Support staff. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding and enhance their skills in identifying and referring potential victims of human trafficking.
Key topics covered included:
-
Definition and forms of human trafficking
-
Mechanisms of vulnerability and risk factors for victimization
-
Indicators and practical approaches to victim identification – communication and referral processes
The seminar combined theoretical input with experiential activities, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the issue and strengthening participants’ preparedness to respond effectively to trafficking incidents in the field.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to OSY for their valuable collaboration.
